Arab Contractors participates in the naming ceremony of the latest floating hotels in Luxor

Luxor witnessed a grand celebration during which the Viking Sobek and Viking Hathor hotels were opened. They are the latest floating hotels of the Viking Cruises on the Nile River and were manufactured in the shipyards of the Arab Contractors Company. The celebration was attended by Mrs. Youmna El Bahar, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and a number of senior officials. Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, pointed out that the company works in the field of manufacturing floating hotels and has great experience and enormous potential, stating that it has established many floating hotels as well as their maintenance, which is done in in Arab Contractors shipyards, at Massara, Aswan, and Ismailia. He pointed out that the company is proud of what it provides in support of the tourism industry in Egypt by manufacturing new floating hotels to accommodate the tourist movement. The celebration was attended by Eng. Hassan Mustafa - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, who thanked Mr. Torstein Hagen, Viking Chairman for his trust and expressed the company’s appreciation for the continuous work in the field of manufacturing floating hotels for Viking Cruises. In his speech during the celebration, Mr. Torstein Hagen, Viking Chairman, praised and thanked the Arab Contractors Company for the commitment and high quality of its work in the field of manufacturing floating hotels. The naming ceremony was attended by a large number of foreign dignitaries in the field of international tourism, including Mr. Mohamed El Banna, Mr. Sherif El Banna, Chairman of Cosmos Egypt, Eng. Khaled Eissa – AC Executive Board Member, Eng. Ahmed Eissa – Head of Manufacturing Sector, Eng. Osama El Desouki – Manager of Massara Shipyard implementing the works, and Eng. Alaa Abdel Hamid - Deputy Manager of Massara Shipyard for Technical Affairs. The hotel is 72 meters long, 14.5 meters wide, and 10.30 meters high, and weighs 750 tons. It includes 41 rooms and suites, and was built under the supervision of Lloyd's Register. It is one of the global tourist and investment destinations for floating hotels on the Nile River. The design and implementation were carried out to keep pace with the latest energy-saving and eco-friendly shipbuilding technology in accordance with the requirements of the Egyptian River Navigation Authority.
