Eng. Ahmed El Assar – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, received Mr. Daniel Garwe – Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities in Zimbabwe, and his accompanying delegation within the framework of discussing the opportunities for joint cooperation between the company and the Ministry of Housing in Zimbabwe.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Ahmed El Adalany and Eng. Heba Abu Al Ela – AC Board Members, Eng. Amani Khodeir - Head of Africa Projects Follow-up Sector, Eng. Tariq Mekki - Manager of Projects Follow-up Department; and Eng. Lubna Shatla – Manager of Business Development and Strategic Studies Department.
During the meeting, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, welcomed the Zimbabwean Minister and his companions. They explored the company’s various projects inside and outside Egypt, especially in Africa. He also referred to the Egyptian experience in construction during recent years and the great and unprecedented boom Egypt has witnessed in the fields of development and urbanization. The Minister praised this experience, expressing his happiness with this diversity in mega projects. The Minister stressed that his country is looking to benefit from this pioneering Egyptian experience in construction and stated that Zimbabwe is developing plans for urban expansion, building new cities, and implementing projects in all fields that require joint cooperation.
Eng. Ahmed El Assar expressed the company’s readiness to discuss cooperation opportunities and study priority projects, especially in the infrastructure field in Zimbabwe, and to benefit from its geographical location in creating new development axes, stressing the company’s strategy for cooperation with brothers from the African continent.
On the other hand, Mr. Daniel Garwe – Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities in Zimbabwe, praised the Arab Contractors Company and the projects he visited during his visit to Tahya Masr Bridge and Taha Hussein Bridge in Mokattam, expressing his aspiration for his country to benefit from that experience. The Minister also stressed the necessity of working to strengthen ways of cooperation with the company, as it is one of the biggest companies in Africa and the Middle East.
