MEED International magazine announced the results of the annual competition during a great celebration in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Arab Contractors Company won 9 awards, including two Highly Commended awards at the level of the Middle East and North Africa. The New Egyptian Senate Headquarters project in the New Administrative Capital, which was implemented by the company under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, won the Building of the Year award, while Kamal Amer Axis in Giza project won the Road Project of the Year award. It is a project implemented by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, represented by the Central Reconstruction Agency, and under the supervision of Greater Cairo Reconstruction Authority.
The two awards were received by Eng. Ahmed El Adalany – Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company. He pointed out that the company had also won 7 other awards at the national level for the projects of the New Egyptian Senate Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital and Meerad Tower project in Qatar, which won the Building Project of the Year award, in addition to Maspero Triangle Towers project, which was implemented by the company under the supervision of the New Urban Communities Authority at the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities and won the Development Project of the Year Award. Besides, the Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center at Cairo University, which was implemented by the company under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, won the Education and Social Project of the Year Award, and the Development of Tahrir Square Project, which was implemented by the company under the supervision of the Ministries of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Tourism and Antiquities, Culture, and Cairo Governorate, won the Small Project of the Year Award. The New Delta Wastewater Treatment Plant Project, which was implemented by JV of the Arab Contractors Company, Metito, Orascom and Hassan Allam, under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, won the Water Treatment Project of the Year; and Kamal Amer Axis Project won the Road Project of the Year award.
