Within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities to cooperate with the African countries and open business horizons for the Egyptian contracting companies in African continent, a contract for establishing the "Arab Contractors - Luanda" company was signed in the framework of a partnership between the Arab Contractors Company "Osman Ahmed Osman & Co." and the Angolan MERCONS- ENGENHARIA E CONSTRUCAO CIVIL, S.A. Company. The new company will specialize in implementing various construction projects in Angola. Eng. Ahmed El Assar – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, declared that the establishment of this new company comes as a culmination of the successful visit made by Carlos Alberto dos Santos - Minister of Public Works, Urban Planning, and Housing, to Cairo at the invitation of his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. This was followed by a visit by the leaders of the Arab Contractors Company to Angola, and many discussion sessions were held with Angolan government agencies and local contracting companies. In the same context, it is scheduled to complete the cooperation with the visit of Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, within the next month to Angola to sign a cooperation protocol with the Angolan Ministry of Public Works, Urban Planning, and Housing according to what was agreed upon during the previous visit of the Angolan Minister.
