Eng. Ahmed El Assar – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors, and Dr. Sherine Helmy - Chairman of Pharco International, signed a contract for the construction of a pharmaceutical factory in the industrial zone of Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Arab Contractors won a bid of SAR 155 million amid intense competition with 4 major companies. This is within the framework of the Arab Contractors Company's strategy to expand its activities in foreign markets through the sector of business development and strategic studies in the company.
The signing of the contract was attended by Eng. Hossam El Din El Reefy - Senior Vice-Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Dr. Hesham ElNasharty - Managing Director of Pharco International, Mr. Mohamed Desouki – Vice Chairman of Pharco, Dr. Mohamed Sherine Helmy – Board Member of Pharco Pharmaceuticals, Board Members of Arab Contractors: Dr. Onsi Elbeshouty, Eng. El Sayed El Wazir and Eng. Ahmed El Adalany, Eng. Soliman Younis - Head of the Sector supervising the company’s branch in Saudi Arabia; Eng. Moustafa Saad - Manager of Business Development and Strategic Studies, and a number of leaders of Pharco Pharmaceuticals.
It is worth mentioning that the factory is built on an area of 20,000 m2, and it includes a production building with an area of 11,300 m2, 2 warehouse buildings with an area of 4,300 m2, 2 buildings for utilities with a total area of 4,000 m2, an administrative building 3,000 m2, and a mosque with an area of 2,200 m2, in addition to service buildings, road work, utilities, the general site, fuel tanks, firefighting, potable water, and a chemical treatment plant. The contract also includes the design, supply, and execution of all construction work for the factory, which occupies part of the city for the production of medicines, vital products, and vaccines in Medina to cover the needs of the Saudi market besides exporting to the European Union, the United States of America, Arab and African countries.
This project is an expansion of the company's activity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is more than 60 years old, during which the company implemented giant development projects in the fields of infrastructure, tunnels, irrigation, power plants, water, public buildings, and airports.
