Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, announced that the company has signed a contract for a new road project on the outskirts of Yaounde, for the benefit of the Cameroonian Ministry of Public Works. The road's length is 81 km. he added that the new project (Boucle De La Lekie) is divided into 3 sectors with widths ranging from 7 to 18 meters. The project includes the implementation of industrial works. On the other hand, the Chairman of the Arab Contractors indicated that the Cameroonian Minister of Public Works had recently inaugurated the MENGONG - SANGMELIMA Road, with a length of 74 km, in addition to the implementation of many service facilities for the residents of the villages through which the road passes, such as some classrooms, event halls, and internal roads to serve farmers, as well as water wells, and administrative buildings. The inauguration was held in the presence of many officials from Cameroon, and the Arab Contractors Company. Eng. Sayed Farouk stated that the Arab Contractors has been working in Cameroon since 2006, during which it implemented 21 projects, which included road projects in different regions, as well as the rehabilitation of Yaounde Stadium. He added that the company is currently implementing a number of road projects worth $100 million. Eng. Sayed Farouk concluded that the Arab Contractors play its role in implementing development projects in the African continent, based on the strong relations and ties between the political leadership in Egypt and its sisters in the continent, and it is greatly welcomed due to the quality of the work and the good reputation it has gained over decades and is keen to preserve it.
