The Chairman was briefed on the current implementation status of the project, which is a new vital artery for the traffic flow between Cairo and Giza, and starts from the south of the Ring Road (El Mounib) to the north of (Tahya Masr) Axis with a total length of 14.8 km.
It is worth noting that Kamal Amer Axis is one of the most important longitudinal axes of the highway network that is linked to the Ring Road, as it represents a great addition to Giza and will achieve a remarkable development in the traffic flow, not only at the level of Giza but also for the Greater Cairo as well. The project aims to create a free traffic axis by utilizing the path of Al-Zomor Lake's watercourse and the roads surrounding it in the area from the El Mounib Ring Road to the El Warraq Ring Road to reduce travel time on the axis path to approximately 10 minutes, as well as linking many important arteries that connect many residential blocks on the axis route, which is a substitute for the old roads, saving approximately 100 million LE in fuel consumption annually, and connects the main transverse axes (26th of July– Gameat Al Dewal– Saft El Laban – Faisal – El Haram), an additional link to the Ring Road, which relieves pressure on "Marrioteya Axis - El Mounib exit – El Bahr El Azam - Rabea Al Gizi", linking many transport centers within Cairo and Giza (Giza train station - Public Transport Center in El Mounib – Upper Egypt Bus Station - Public Transport Center in Giza Square - Public Transport Center in Imbaba).
