Eng. Sayed Farouk inspected the work progress in the first phase of the Central Park Area (Green River) in the New Administrative Capital. He was accompanied by Eng. Emam Afify – Vice Chairman, Eng. Ahmed Abdel Razek – Vice President of the New Administrative Capital, Eng. Mohamed Elwi– Head of Greater Cairo Sector, Eng. Ahmed Mahmoud – Project Manager, Eng. Sallam Rashad – Manager of Electromechanical Projects for Public Buildings and Utilities, and Eng. Mohamed Khedr – Manager of the Electrical Works Department. It is noteworthy that the area implemented by the Arab Contractors in the Central Park is 136 feddans, and its works include about 1,800,000 m3 cutting and 300.000 m3 backfilling, in addition to the surface levelling works, roads, main and subsidiary networks for utilities, construction, and agriculture works. The Central Park will embody Egyptian civilization and be the link between a series of smart urban neighborhoods. It will be one of the most distinguished parks in the Middle East and the whole world. It is more than 10 km long, with an area of about 1,000 feddans; therefore, it is one of the largest parks worldwide. The Capital Park Project consists of 3 sectors. The project includes: an Islamic-themed garden - country club - sports club – lakes and restaurant - art park - heritage park - recreational areas - celebration areas and an open theater - an educational garden for children - an open library and reading gardens - a central yard and restaurants area - a recreational sports club.
