During his visit to Uganda, Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company met with Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala - Minister of Works and Transport who was keen to receive the company's delegation despite the weekend in Uganda. They discussed the cooperation in a number of new projects between the company and the Ugandan Ministry of Works in the light of the projects which are carried out by the Arab contractors in Uganda.The meeting was in the presence of Dr. Onsi El Beshouty –AC Board Member, Eng. Mohamed Tolba – Managing Director of Ugandan Arab Contractors Company, Mr. Emad Ebeid – Financial Supervisor for Africa Sector and Eng. Salah Radwan – General Manager of Ugandan Arab Contractors Company.
Currently, the Arab Contractors Company is carrying out several projects in Uganda, such as: Pallisa-Kamankoli Road 44km length and work value 59 million US$, Masaka-Boukakata Road with a length of 41km and total cost 45 million US$, Tirini-Pallisa-Koomi Road Road 67km length and total value 79 million US$. In addition to the rehabilitation of one of the pharmaceutical factories in Kampala and additional works of the construction and rehabilitation of Kayunga Hospital which was accomplished last year.
It is noteworthy that the Arab Contractors Company was awarded the certificate of special recognition as the best visionary international building and housing construction company for the fourth time respectively.
