Eng. Sayed Farouk was in an inspection tour to Egypt’s Islamic Cultural Center in the New Administrative Capital which is carried out by the Arab Contractors Company under the supervision of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces. He was briefed on the executive and construction status of the project. He was accompanied by Eng. Ahmed Abbass – Board Member, Eng. Mahmoud El Sharnouby – Head Sectors of Electromechanical works, Eng. Sherif Dessouki – Manager of Helwan Branch, Eng. Hany Maher – Project Management Directors, Eng. Salam Rashad – Manager of Electromechanical Projects for Public Buildings and Eng. Mohamed Khedr Shaker – Manager of Electrical Works Department. Eng. Sayed Farouk reviewed the work progress and the implementation rates. He gave directions to be committed with the time schedules for the under construction buildings and structures. The project is built upon a plateau with 24m height and located at the heart of the Governmental District. It includes number of the services building and a Commercial Cultural Center. Egypt’s Islamic Cultural Center which includes one of the world’s largest mosques, Misr Mosque. The mosque can accommodate up to 107,000 persons, with a 140m minaret. It includes several spacious halls for celebrations, events and Quranic schools for men, women and children, a parking lot and a multi-storey garage that accommodates up to 3000 cars. Then, Eng. Sayed Farouk and his companions performed Friday Prayer in the project site with the workers.
