Implementation of HST "Ain Sokhna/Al Alamein" -1st phase within 2 months

Eng. Kamel El Wazeer – Minister of Transport stated that the 1st phase of High Speed Train “HST” which extends from Ain Sokhna to Al Alamein will be accomplished within 2 months. This statement took place within his inspection of Adly Mansour station. This was in the presence of Dr. Essam Wali – Head of National Authority for Tunnels, authority’s officials, representatives of the executing companies, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company which carrying out the station, AC’s Board Members: Eng. Eman Soliman, Eng. Usama Moustafa and Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk, Eng. Hassan Moustafa – Head of Bridges and Foundation Sector, Eng. Heba Abul Ella – Deputy Manager of Bridges Department and Eng. Abdel Hay Badawi – Project Manager.
The Minister of Transport added that the 1st phase will start from the Sports City in New Administrative Capital till Borg El Arab City in Alexandria with 260km length passing by New Cairo and 6 October. The Minister declared that a JV of Egyptian and international companies will carry out this project. Its length reaches 438km, sped 260km/h. He pointed out that its trains will be manufactured locally at the factory which will be built in East Port Said.
He pointed out that the ministry is working on localizing the train industry in Egypt with the use of the international companies in the implementation of the monorail, HST and LRT o work with the Egyptian companies. Consequently, the Egyptian companies will gain the required experienced to be qualified for working by themselves.
