Eng. Mohsen Salah – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company announced the accomplishment and delivery of the rehabilitation and expansion of Kayunga Hospital in Uganda with a total cost 16.7 million US$. The hospital’s capacity after the new expansions reaches 300 beds from 100 beds before. He declared that the work included the implementation of number of buildings which is the main building with total area 5500m2. It comprises the outpatients’ clinics, administrative offices, laboratories, radiology, pharmacies and blood bank. The new building is built upon 2100m2, 8 new buildings for the accommodation of doctors and the staff, generators and transformers building, 2 buildings for external kitchen and annexed buildings to the hospital. In addition to the general site works includes new roads, landscaping and afforestation works, all the utilities of water, sewage and electricity networks. Eng. Mohsen Salah added that the AC Company rehabilitated 6 existing buildings for treatment and administration, 25 buildings for doctors and staff accommodation. He pointed out that the works was implemented with the highest quality standard which is appreciated by the Ugandan officials. Besides, Africa Sector is continuing its work in the different projects with the application of the preventive procedures to preserve the workers’ health. Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk – Head of Africa Sector declared that the Arab Contractors Company implemented last year Mulago Hospital in Uganda. Currently, the Arab Contractors Company is carrying out road works which includes Masaka-Boukakata 41km length and total value 45 million US$, Pallisa-Kamankoli Road (lot no.2) with a length of 44km and total value 61 million US$ and Terini – Pallisa Koomi Road (lot no.1) with a length of 67km and total value 81 million US$. Eng. Mohammed Tolba – Managing Director of Arab Contractors Uganda limited stated that the Arab Contractors Company was awarded the certificate of the best visionary international building and housing construction company for 2018 and 2019 due to the quality of its works and the delivery of its projects in accordance with the determined or pre-determined time schedules.
