Eng. Mohsen Salah – Chairman and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company inspected the rehabilitation and expansion of Kayunga Hospital in Uganda with a total cost 14 million US$. This was in the presence of Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk – Head of Africa Sector, Mr. Emad Ebeid – Supervisor of the Financial Sector, Eng. Mohammed Tolba – Managing Director for the Ugandan Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Salah Radwan – General Manager of the Company and Eng. Haytham El Derby – Project Manager who emphasized that the hospital’s capacity after the rehabilitation will reach 300 beds from 100 beds before. The total area of the project is 190.000m2 (45 feddan) and the total area of the buildings after expansion is 18000m2. He added that the project includes the rehabilitation of all the existing buildings: the medical buildings, wards, outpatients’ clinics, administrative offices, radiology building, pharmacy, kitchen, the dead washer, as well as the rehabilitation of 25 buildings for the accommodation of doctors and the staff of the hospital. He declared that the hospital has many new buildings which includes the hospital main building built upon 5500m2, the new wards’ building 2100m2, 8 new buildings for the accommodation of doctors and the staff, furnace, generators, transformers, the external kitchen annexed to the hospital and other services buildings. In addition to the landscape works includes roads network with a length of 4km, landscaping and afforestation works, all the utilities of sewage, water feeding and lighting poles. ?
