Eng. Sayed Farouk - AC Senior Vice Chairman inspected the construction and rehabilitation of Kayunga Hospital in Uganda. He was accompanied by Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk – Head of Africa Sector, Mr. Emad Ebeid –Supervisor of the Financial Sector and Eng. Mohammed Tolba – Deputy Member for the Ugandan Arab Contractors Company who declared that the total value of the project reached 14.5 million US$, its capacity after the completion of the new construction to 300 beds from 100 beds before. The project includes a number of new facilities: the main building built upon 5500 m2, which includes outpatient clinics, administrative offices and laboratories and radiology sections, pharmacies, blood bank, a new building for patients' wards built upon 2100 m2, 8 new buildings for the accommodation of doctors and the staff of the hospital, generators building, transformers, 2 buildings for the external kitchen, services buildings annexed to the hospital. In addition to general site works including new roads, planting and afforestation works, networks of water, sewage and electricity, rehabilitation works of 6 existing treatment and administrative buildings and 25 buildings for doctors and staff accommodation.
