Eng. Mohsen Salah - AC Chairman & CEO declared that the Arab Contractors Company awarded the contract of the Modernization and Development of Masaka-Boukakata Road – South Uganda with a total value 54 million US$. He pointed out that the project client is the Ugandian Authority for Roads. The project is 100km far from the Capital Kampala, its length is 41km and execution period is 24 months. Eng. Salah declared that the Ugandian Arab Contractors Company is executing many infrastructure projects in Uganda; the prominent one is the Development and Modernization of the Dirt Road with a length of 67km to Asphalt Road 200km from the Capital Kampala (South East Kampala) it consists of 2 lanes, 3.65m for each lane, 7.3m width for the two lanes and design speed 70km/hour. Another road project with 44km length in addition to the drains and the industrial works along the road with a total cost 133 million US$ and its construction period is 36 months. The AC Chairman added that there is ongoing project of the Rehabilitation and expansion of Kayunga Hospital with a value of 13.6 million US$, and the completion of the development of Mulago General Hospital including the civil and electromechanical works and the beneficiary is the Ugandian Ministry of Health with a total value 22.3 million US$. Besides, the completion of works related to the decreasing of the flood impacts on Kasiski District which includes the excavation, dredging, rocks removal and gabions and rocks installment which removed from the main watercourse to protect and support the crossovers to stop the eroding and face the floods with a high efficiency at a total value 2.7 million US$. In addition to the First phase of the construction of the concrete structures for Bousega Trading Market built upon 7000m for the Ugandian Local Administration in Kampala with a total value 5.8 million US$.
