H.H. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly - Prime Minister and the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghafar – Minister of Higher Education touring the work progress of different projects in New El Alamein City to follow up the achievement rate executed by the Arab Contractors Company. Eng. Osama Abdel Ghany – Head of the Authority of New El Alamein City declared that regarding the formation of the islands and lakes in the city the achievement rate reached 60% by the Arab Contractors Company, 45% by the Egyptian Company for Irrigation and Drainage, 59% by the Irrigation Company for the Public Works. 5 wave breakers (1st Phase) from the Eastern side were awarded to the AC  out of total 13 breakers for the protection of the inlets and beaches with a total length 2.5km, its execution period is 12 months to protect 8km length of the beaches and 4 inlets and entry holes for sea water into lakes with 60m width for each one with an estimated cost 1.5 billion EGP.  Eng. Osama Abdel Ghani pointed out that the work of implementing 2 bridges over the inlets no. 1 &2 of the coastal area has been assigned to the Arab Contractors Company. The works of columns, tiles and the body of the inlet bridge No. 1 was accomplished in one direction with completion rate 80%. Besides the completion of the soil investigations, submission of the soil reports and the implementation of 20 piles in the inlet bridge No. 2, with a completion rate of 7.26%. The implementation of 2 bridges, one in the coastal area on the C-15 road and the other over the intersection of the new international coastal road with the railway, its execution period is 12 months. He added that the completion of the finishing of about 1 km from the East, from the tourist walk in the New El Alamein City, implemented by the Arab Contractors Company, was completed finishing the path from the West, about 3 km long, completed the finishing of 2800 ml from the West, equipped with umbrellas tent, planted palm trees, and the completion of the work of concrete walkers printed to the beach, and the settlement and individual sand beach for 4 km to give the greatest sea view and enjoy its breathtaking view, and the completion of the total path 7 km, and El Tabba is equipped and paved in front of the entertainment area. A path is constructed with a width of 17 m above El Tabba. Currently the main parking which accommodates 3000 cars, is poured into the recreation area. The ground floor above the parking which contains many fountains, waterfalls, projectors, restaurants and cafeterias , recreation areas, bank branches, and a small hotel to enjoy the most beautiful patch on the North West Coast. The central park is also being implemented, which has recreational facilities, seating areas, restaurants and fast food. As for the implementation of the coastal area facilities, Eng. Osama Abdel Ghani said that the rest of the Eastern region was allocated with a total area of 3300 feddans for the Arab Contractors Company. The areas no2,3,4,5 & 6 were awarded to the AC and the achievement rate is 45.7%, 45 transformers were supplied to supply electricity to the region, El Hamraa Power Plant was expanded at an estimated cost of 90 million EGP and Al-Alamein station was expanded to provide the coastal area and government buildings with the required electrical power 80 MWA. The work was assigned to the Electricity Transmission Company. Concord Company was awarded the execution of the rest phases of the coastal area network (wastewater – feeding – irrigation – rain drainage – electricity) for areas no. 7, 8 & 9  with total area of 1600 feddans, while the achievement rate for the utilities of the southern area of 570 feddans reached to 48.5% . Currently the work is ongoing on the service road of the Water Desalination Plant in the East of El Hamraa Port. Eng. Yasser Hamouda explained that the work of the tourist path was completed with a length of 5.5 km, and the completion of the inlets bridges no. 3 & 4  reached 100%; no. 1% by 85% and the work of piles in Bridge No. 2 is ongoing. In addition to these, the final finishing works for El Tabba Restaurant, the completion of 98% of El Hammamat area and the 60% of formation works of the lakes sides. Besides; the beginning of the works of barriers and breakers. The project of the 3 towers which is executed by the AC company , the deep foundations is implemented, the pouring of columns, walls, basement roof of the Eastern tower and pouring the raft for the West tower and deep foundations works for the Third tower reached 50%.
