On Monday 7th December 2009, President Mubarak inaugurated El Tod El Gedida Village, one of the desert hinterland villages project in Luxor. In the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi - Minister of Defense and Military Production, Eng. Ahmed El-Maghrabi - Minister of Housing , Utilities & Urban Communities, group of minister, Dr. Samir Farag - Chairman of the Supreme Council of the City of Luxor , Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company, Vice-chairman: Eng. Mohamed Adel Fathi and Eng. Osama Shawky, Eng. Assem Edward – Manager of South Valley Branch and Eng. Mahmoud Abdel Mola - Deputy Manager and Region Manager of South Valley Branch. Eng. Abdel Mola declared that AC constructed the services buildings for El Tod village including: a school, a mosque, a medical unit, markets, police station, post office and central. Besides, AC implemented the landscaping works for the general site and its access road (3km) and the infrastructure works. The project implemented within 6 months only with a total value EGP 15 million.
