On Wednesday 18th February 2009, Dr. Ahmed Nazif - Prime Minister inaugurates Al-Zahraa Tunnel, which considered the biggest cars and pedestrians tunnel in Upper Egypt to link Eastern and Western Assiut, and the Expansion Project of Nazlet Abdullah Water Station (120.000m?/Day). Ahmed El Maghrabi – Minister of Housing, Utilities & Urban Development, General Abdel Salam El Mahgoub - Minister of Local Development, Dr. Ali El Moselhy - Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr Hatem Al Gabali - Minister of Health and Population, General Nabil El Ezaby - Assiut Governor, Eng. Hassan Saqr - Chairman of the National Sports Council, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company and Eng. Nouh Meshref – Vice President for Execution and Technical Affair.
