On Tuesday 2nd December 2008, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, President and CEO of the Arab Contractors touring the Greater Cairo Metro Line III work progress concerning the specialized works in Abbassia, Abdou Pasha and Bab Al-Shiaaria stations. In the presences of Eng. Magdy Mounir - Head of Sector, Eng. Serry Soliman - Head of Sector and Eng. Hassan Shaarawy - Head of Sector. This phase is 4.3 Km extends from Attaba to Abbasia. Metro Line III contributes in reducing the traffic jams in these overcrowded areas. It is noteworthy that this phase includes 5 water purification stations, a high voltage electricity station and an overhauling workshop. VINCI, Bouygue, Orascom and The Arab Contractors consortium were awarded the execution of the civil works. The consortium of AMEC SPIE, The Arab Contractors and Orascom awarded the execution of electromechanical works, power supply, a high voltage electricity station and an overhauling workshop.
