Eng. Tarek Khedr has extensive experience in many engineering fields such as palaces and monuments restoration, civil and reinforced concrete work. He held the position of Executive Board Member of the company's and head of construction and specialized works sector (2016 - April 2023) and participated in the implementation of important national projects such as Suez Canal tunnels and Bahr El Baqar Water Treatment Plant, etc.
During his tenure as the Manager of Palaces and Monument Restoration Department (2016-2019), Eng. Tarek Khedr implemented many restoration projects for historic buildings, including the transfer of King Ramses II to the Grand Egyptian Museum and a large number of historic religious buildings, such as Sayyidna Al Hussein Mosque, the restoration of the Hanging Church, Mar Gerges Church in Old Cairo, Eliyahu Hanavi Synagogue in Alexandria, Baron Empain Palace, the development of the Nile Fountain..etc., as well as the development of the Parliament, the Senate and the maintenance of presidential palaces.
He was the Manager of Civil Work Department (2013 - 2016), during which he participated in the implementation of many bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment, and stamped concrete works projects.
His experience extended to implementing works outside Egypt, such as Shendi Bridge in Sudan, the Army Canal in Iraq, and Tabuk Road in Saudi Arabia. In addition to these, he is a consulting engineer in the field of supervising the implementation of concrete structures.
Eng. Tarek Khedr has many practical experiences outside the Arab Contractors Company from July 1995 until March 2002, represented in working in technical consulting, as well as working in Al Moatasem for Marble and Granite, and Qassim Road in Medina, the Egyptian Companies Union Abo Kastour, and the Egyptian Construction Group.
In addition to these, he is a board member of Arab Contractors Tanzania Limited Company, the Arab Contractors Sporting Club; he was a former board member of the Arab Contractors Investments Company and the Arab Hotel Company “M?venpick”.
He has received several awards for his participation in the implementation of important projects in the field of palaces and monuments restoration from prestigious international organizations such as ENR and MEED.
