Eng. Ahmed Al-Adalany has a distinguished career in the fields of risk and crisis management, project management, claims, and arbitration. He has earned numerous academic and professional certificates and awards, including an MBA from (the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB)) in collaboration with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, specializing in crisis management. He ranked first in February 2022. Al-Adlani also holds a diploma in crisis and risk management from Missouri State University in the United States. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in Pennsylvania, where he has been a member since November 3, 2011.
Throughout his career, he has held several key positions at the Arab Contractors Company and has made significant contributions to many of the company's important projects. He served as the Director of Technical Support Department from November 2021 to April 2023 and as the Secretary of the Supreme Committee for Compensations, dealing with Law No. 84 of 2017, from January 2019 to April 2023. He also served as the Commercial Director of the Monorail Project from September 2019 to November 2021, Deputy Director of Technical Affairs for the Bridges and Specialized Structures Department from May 2018 to September 2019, and Director of Claims and Arbitration in the same department from July 2016 to May 2018. Additionally, he was the Director of Technical Affairs for Port Said Tunnels Project from October 2015 to June 2016 and a member of the Executive Council of the North Delta Branch from March 2015 to October 2015. He also held positions such as Director of Claims and Arbitration at the North Delta Branch from September 2014 to October 2015, Vice President of the Future Leaders Council at the Alexandria Branch from January 2012 to October 2015, Director of Technical Affairs for the Silos Projects in Borg El Arab from June 2012 to September 2014, Director of Technical Affairs for Emaar Marassi Projects from March 2009 to June 2012, and Director of the Technical Office for the Damietta Port Quay Project from May 2007 to March 2009.
In the academic field, Ahmed Al- Adalany completed his undergraduate studies in civil engineering at Mansoura University, then pursued further education, earning a master's degree in civil engineering from Cairo University. He also completed his PhD qualification at Cairo University with distinction and is currently working on his doctoral thesis, which focuses on improving the performance of contracting companies through the application of modern tools and techniques in risk and crisis management, with a case study on the Arab Contractors Company. Additionally, Al- Adalany is currently studying law in his fourth year and has completed his third year with a cumulative grade of Very Good with Honors.
Al- Adalany has received several local and regional awards, most notably the Engineer of the Year 2022 award in Egypt from the British magazine MEED, issued from Dubai in the 12th edition of its annual awards. He was also shortlisted for the Rising Star of the Year 2022 award in the Middle East region by Construction Week magazine, issued in Dubai. Additionally, he received a Highly Commended certificate from the Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards 2024 in the Director of the Year category.
